WHAT DO PRINTHEADS DO?

After the ink has been released from the nozzles, it will quickly cool before being refilled and the procedure repeated. Water-based inks, such as latex inks used for outdoor signage and many textile applications, are best suited for thermal printheads.

The quantity and quality of the ink drops that are applied to the substrate during printing will have an impact on the final product. Smaller drops will result in higher resolution and better definition. This works best when producing writing that is simple to read, especially text that might have fine lines.

 

When you need to print quickly across a big area, greater drops are preferable. For printing on bigger flat objects, such large-format signage, huge drops are preferable. Using a piezoelectric printhead that has more control over the size of the droplets will provide you the best image quality if your item requires high resolution or has tiny or fine details. Thermal technology can reduce production costs and frequently give you a piece that is suitable for your needs for components that may be larger but less detailed.
