To learn more about memory, the following must not be missed.
The memory clock cycle, access time and CAS delay time are the most important parameters to measure the memory performance directly. They can all be set in the motherboard BIOS, which will be discussed in detail in the BIOS in the future.

1. Clock Cycle (TCK)

TCK is short for "Clock Cycle Time".
It represents the maximum frequency at which memory can run, and the smaller the number, the higher the frequency at which memory can run.
The clock cycle is inversely proportional to the operating frequency of memory, that is, TCK=1/F.
For example, a memory chip labeled "-10" has a running clock cycle of 10ns, which means it can operate normally at 100MHz.

2. Access time (TAC)

TAC(Access Time From CLK) stands for "Access Time".
Unlike the clock cycle, TAC represents only the time required to access the data.
For example, a memory chip labeled "-7J" indicates that the access time of the memory chip is 7NS.
The shorter the access time, the better the performance of the memory bar. For example, if two memory bars both work at 133MHz, one of them has 6NS access time and the other has 7ns access time, the former is faster than the latter.

3.CAS delay time (CL)

CL(CAS Latency) is an important index of memory performance and it is the response time of memory longitudinal address pulse.
When a computer needs to read data into memory, there is usually a "buffer period" before it actually reads. The length of the buffer period is this CL.
The lower the CL value of the memory, the better; therefore, shortening the CYCLE of CAS helps to speed up the operation of the memory at the same frequency.

4. Parity (ECC)

Memory is a kind of data transit "warehouse", and in the process of frequent transit, what happens if the wrong data?
ECC is a data verification mechanism.
ECC can not only determine the correctness of data, but also correct most errors.
This kind of memory is not usually used in ordinary PCS, but in high-end server computers.
