What Are The Common Quality Problems Of Barcode Ribbons?

What are the common quality problems of barcode ribbons? Barcode ribbons are a new type of barcode printing consumables coated with ink on one side of polyester film and coated with lubricant to prevent printhead wear. Used by the barcode printer, the heat and pressure of the print head of the barcode printer causes the carbon ribbon to transfer the corresponding text and barcode information to the label.

1. Carbon with pinholes (bubbles): caused by ink not being coated. Causes incomplete characters during printing.

2. Wrinkling of the ribbon: Due to problems with the tension control system during slitting, there will be no words printed on a small area of the ribbon. Because the melting temperature of the two layers of carbon ribbon is much higher than the temperature of one layer.

3. Carbon has a blank: Because the light film is not treated well, it will cause blanks that are larger than the output.

4. The tolerance of the inner diameter of the paper core is too large or too small: it will not fit into the printer or the shaft will not be able to get the carbon ribbon.

5. The temperature is too high during transportation, which will cause the ribbons to stick together.

6. Whether the paper core runs sideways: it will cause broken belts and the edges will not print.

7. The length of the ribbon is not enough.

8. When the ribbon is processed, the winding is too tight or loose, which makes it impossible to match the printer with the ribbon when running.
