How do I know which printhead fits my printer?
Send the printer model from the nameplate, the label on the existing head, the DPI and photos of the connector and mounting. We match all four before quoting.
Are 203 and 300 dpi heads interchangeable?
No. Resolution is built into the head, and 203, 300 and 600 dpi versions carry different part numbers. The head must match the installed configuration of the printer.
What causes a fixed blank line on every label?
A fixed vertical gap in the same position on every label usually means burned-out heating elements, so the head needs replacement. Overall fading that improves after cleaning is normally residue.
How often should the printhead be cleaned?
Wipe the head with isopropyl alcohol at every ribbon change, or every 2-3 hours under heavy use. Let it dry fully before restarting the printer.
