Zebra Printhead

The Zebra printhead ZT410 203DPI can be used for printer ZT410 and ZT411. The ZT410 printhead is a component of the Zebra ZT410 industrial barcode printer. It is responsible for transferring the ink onto the label or tag during the printing process. The Zebra printhead consists of a series of tiny heating elements that heat up and create the desired image or text on the label. It is a critical component of the printer and may need to be replaced if it becomes damaged or worn out.

Procedure for cleaning a printhead:

1. Turn the Printhead Lever to the OPEN position to release the Printhead.
2. Take away the media and ribbon, if any.
3. Wipe the print elements from end to end using a cleaning swab made of 99.7% isopropyl alcohol. (The print elements are the grayish/black strip on the underside of the printhead that is directly underneath the chrome strip.) Give the solvent a few seconds to evaporate.
4. Rotate the platen roller and use a cleaning wipe to give it a thorough cleaning.
5. Clear any collected paper dust and lint with a brush or vacuum cleaner away from the rollers, media sensors, and ribbon sensors.
6. Refill ribbon and/or media, latch the printhead, turn on the power again if necessary, and test the PAUSE Key.
