What is Thermal Transfer Ribbon ?

Ink Layer: Ink layer is what will be transferred to paper.

Backcoating Layer: is to protect printing head

Carrier: PET film

Security Layer:

1 is to make the image more clear,

2 is to make the image not so shining,

3 is to make the printed film resist from copy

How it works ?

The print head change the digital signal to energy;

The energy is transferred to the ink layer, melt the ink layer.

The ink layer stick or transferred on the medias like paper/labels/plastic and so on to make image.

Wax/Resin Ribbon (Mixture Ribbon):

Contain higher percentages of resinous materials

Higher melting points, higher energy

Scratch, smear and solvents resistance, label Flexibility

A little more expensive than wax ribbon
