How does the TTO thermal transfer printer work?
The thermal transfer inkjet printer (TTO) machine is small and light, and can be easily integrated with all packaging equipment. With the dedicated brackets and accessories provided, the most unique application integration can be made easy and tidy.
1. When the printer receives the printing signal, it triggers and heats the print head, and applies pressure and heat to the ink ribbon (solid at room temperature).
2. The heat (melted ink) and pressure generated by the print head transfer the ink from the ribbon to the target material supplier (flexible packaging or label) to be printed, and the print head presses the packaging material on the rubber pad or rubber roller .
3. The transferred ink cools quickly and adheres to the packaging material to form the required coding content (direct heating does not require ribbon and thermal transfer).
The thermal transfer printer is freely programmable and can generate variable data for each print. This high-resolution printhead can print text, graphics, batch numbers, real-time dates and barcodes. This perfect printing technology was originally used for printing directly on flexible film packaging materials, so it replaced labels and significantly reduced printing costs.
