TTO near edge resin CW728: A Near Edge Resin formulation ribbon that provide a good option on near edge printers.Provides maximum resistance to scratches, smearing and chemicals.It gives an excellent protection on print head and reduces noise efficiently.

2、flathead vs near-edge 

Most barcode printers use flathead technology for thermal printing. These printers are used in most thermal transfer ribbons. The flathead printerhead lies flat against the ribbon and the label. Both ribbon and label remain in contact for a short distance as they are passing through the heating area.

Barcode printers with near-edge technology needs to use specially formulated TTR. Its 45 degrees angled printerhead allows printing at much higher rates than flathead technology. The ribbons are specially made to release ink immediately upon contact with the heating element, making the printing much speedier.If you are using near-edge printer, you need to choose ribbons formulated for near-edge technology.

Keep in mind that only certain printers use near edge ribbon. While using the wrong kind of ribbon won’t immediately damage the printer, in the long run it will reduce the printhead life.
