1) What printer to use

In the thermal transfer printing mode, the barcode ribbon and the label paper are consumed synchronously in the length direction. In terms of the width direction, the width of the barcode ribbon should be greater than or equal to the width of the label paper, and less than the maximum printing width of the printer. Due to the different physical dimensions of each printer, the maximum paper roll length that can be loaded and the maximum width that can be printed vary. In addition, the working temperature of the print head and the sensitivity characteristics of the ribbon will also have a great impact on the final printing effect.

2) how to choose ribbon?

Generally speaking, the surface of coated paper is relatively rough and should be used with wax-based or mixed-based carbon ribbons; while the surface of PET paper is relatively smooth and should be used with resin-based carbon ribbons.
